Reflecting the rhythms of the Samba with its African roots and Brazilian origins, Sambrica is a work for solo violin that combines classical technique and South American styles. There is also an opportunity for improvisation, which further engages the performer's musical skills and personal contributions. Sambirca can be performed with piano accompaniment, piano and drums, and strings. All of the performance options are supportive of the style and soloist.
