Sheet Music for Jazz Strings

New York Swing is a level 4 piece for strings in the swing style. 1st violin parts are in 1st and 3rd position. Cello parts have some 4th position. All sections have their chance to play the melody. There is a section for improvised ad lib solos that has written out backups. There is also a section with suggested solos for violin, viola , and cello that can be played separately or together. Drum set is optional. New York Swing was commissioned by the Empire State Youth Orchestras in 2014 and premiered by the EYSO String Ensemble.
